The Gospel

In this video (click here), Pastor Frank Cuozzo shares how the Gospel touched his own heart and life.

No website would be complete without a clear presentation of the gospel and its message of everlasting life.  The good news is, that despite our sin, our Creator has declared in His word, the Bible, that you can live forever.  But to do so, there are five things that you must know.

First, you are a sinner, guilty of breaking God’s moral laws.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23

But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6

Second, the penalty for sin is physical and spiritual death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.   And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14-15

Third, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins, taking your penalty upon Himself.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

Fourth, because you are a sinner, you cannot earn salvation through good works.

For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5

Fifth, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and He alone can save you.  You must be willing to repent (turn from your sins) and turn to Jesus Christ for His salvation.

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  Romans 10:9-10

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.  Luke 13:3

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.  Acts 16:31

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE SAVED (have your sins forgiven and receive the gift of eternal life), PRAY THIS PRAYER IN YOUR HEART:

Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus died for my sin, taking my penalty upon Himself.  I am willing to turn from my sin.  I now invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.

If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, God wants you to grow as a Christian.  You need to spend some time each day in prayer and Bible reading, obey God’s commandments from the Bible, and regularly attend a good, Bible-believing, New Testament church where you will be able to worship God with other Christians and receive sound teaching from the scriptures.    Please call us at (808) 621-0266 or email us using the link provided on the church contact page so we can help you along your journey.  God bless!
